On October 13 and 14, steering committee and working group members of each of the Ontario Drug Treatment Funding Program Systems Projects met at the Delta Chelsea Hotel to attend the Drug Treatment Funding Program (DTFP) Launch.
The Launch provided steering committee and working groups members the opportunity to discuss the DTFP initiative, and learn about individual systems projects.
Some of the highlights from the Launch included:
- Introduction to DTFP Initiative by Anne Bowlby - Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care
- Capacity building workshop from the Ontario DTFP Evaluator - Sanjeev Sridharan, The Evaluation Centre for Complex Health Interventions, St. Michael’s Hospital
- Presentations from the Ontario DTFP Systems Project leads on each of the investment areas:
- Investment Area #1: Implementation of Evidence Informed Practice - Janis Cramp, Addictions Ontario
- Investment Area #2: Strengthening Evaluation and Performance Management - Brian Rush, Centre for Addiction and Mental Health
- Investment Area #3: Linkage and Exchange - David Kelly, Ontario Federation of Community Mental Health and Addiction Programs
- Session on identifying knowledge exchange needs - Heather Bullock, Centre for Addiction and Mental Health
