DRAFT NATIOANAL FRAMEWORK FOR ACTION
ON
SUBSTANCE USE AND ABUSE IN CANADA
FEEDBACK FORM
Thank you for taking the time to be part of a progressive, consensus-building consultation that is drawing on individual and organizational experience, expertise and insights at all levels, over time.
By providing feedback on the draft National Framework for Action on Substance Use and Abuse in Canada you are helping to shape the response to calls from Canadians for more coordination and integration to address problematic substance use in Canada.
The draft Framework reflects the contributions of all those who shared their insights and unique perspectives during cross Canada consultations and subsequent thematic workshops convened jointly by Health Canada, its key federal partners - Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness Canada and the Department of Justice Canada - and the Canadian Centre on Substance Abuse (CCSA) in 2004/05.
A full range of multi-sectoral stakeholders all shared their expertise, practical experience, academic training, cultural, policy and programming perspectives, and knowledge of research issues at these meetings.
This is the next preliminary step. Your feedback will be reflected in the next draft of the Framework. It will then be reviewed and validated by representatives of non-governmental organizations and governments.
Thank you again for being part of this important work. We will keep you updated on progress.
